The Rosecomb Gallery
As I mentioned before, I started working on color genetics back in 1993, before I really knew that I was working on color genetics...I had crossed the BBRed Old English and the Black Rosecombs just to see what would happen, and what happened was so pretty that I decided to go ahead and try to breed for Black Breasted Red Rosecombs. It was not until 1997 that they were good enough to show, and even then there was only one male who was good enough. Much to my surprise, a line of Brassy Backs also developed right out of the BBRed line, and I was able to start showing them in 1997 too. In 1998 I was able to show female BBReds too.
